Commercialization of Microfinance: Perspectives from South and Southeast Asia

This report contains the findings of the regional study from the countries of Bangladesh, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Sri Lanka, as well as observations on industrial developments in other countries in the region and in Latin America. Differing perspectives on the subject of commercialization of microfinance are identified along with a recognition of the issues and challenges that commercialization fosters and a range of approaches to promoting the effort in the region.
