English · Paperback / Softback

Description

The aim of this study is to develop efficient and reliable automation methods resulting in improved CFD predictions and thus, high accuracy in the CFD chain. This master thesis work mainly involves: modeling of turbine cavities based on CAD drawings, simplification and parametrisation of cavities, development of automated mesh generation templates as well as extention and adaptation of them onto different geometries (scripting in Python), compressor leakage air modeling, test and validation of the modules.
