In a sense, the book is intended to be a blend between a kind of encyclopedia of designated terms relevant to the field of modern aquatic toxicology and a dictionary of complementary accessory words. The book, for example, will include term definitions such as biotic ligand model, ecological risk assessment, ecotoxicogenomics, environmental effects monitoring and sediment triad.
