About the author
Duncan J. D. Smith was born in Sheffield, England in 1960. He is a self-styled 'Urban Explorer', photohistorian, and travel writer, and has written several books with his father, Trevor, about their home county of Yorkshire. Duncan is a keen gardener, natural historian, collector, and cook.
