Steganography is the science of secret communication. It comes under the assumption that if the feature is visible, the point of attack is evident. This book investigates current state-of-the-art methods and provides a new and efficient approach to digital image steganography. It also establishes a robust steganographic system called Steganoflage. Steganoflage advocates an object-oriented approach in which skin-tone detected areas are selected for embedding where possible. The key issues in this book are: 1) a new image encryption method tailored to digital images and steganography/watermarking, 2) a new, efficient and real-time skin-tone detection algorithm and 3) a new embedding method using the RBGC, in the Wavelet domain. Each of these components is tested against relevant performance measurements. A series of interesting contemporary applications are shown. This book is dedicated to digital image steganography, and is the cream of three years of focused work, presented in such a way to be the ideal companion for researchers both beginners and professionals. The simplified presentation allows researchers and students from other disciplines to grasp its essentials.

Abbas Cheddad BSc(Hons),MSc,PhD,MIEEE, was born in Algeria. He received his PhD in 2009 from University of Ulster, UK,and MSc degree from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 2005. Dr. Cheddad has published 5 Journal papers, 21 peer reviewed international conference papers and has two patent pending applications. He has received several awards.
