About the author
Steven Frischling is a globe trotting photographer and travel strategist who has a knack for making sense of detailed, complex travel logistics, and understanding the intricate nature of the commercial airline industry. Sharing in-depth knowledge of travel logistics and the intricate workings of business travel, Steven founded the website Flying With Fish (www.flyingwithfish.com) in 2006. Flying With Fish offers regular travel tips to "Those Who Fly & Those Who Want To Fly Smarter." In 2005 Steven's knowledge of intricate travel logistics was pushed to 'the next level' as he flew an average of 15,000 miles per week criss-crossing North America and the World while working as a magazine Director of Photography. In this position, Steven was charged with producing images of high-power international executives on a nearly daily basis and needed to create demanding travel itineraries to match those of his subjects, with often extremely limited time constraints. To meet the challenges of his schedule, Steven often creates schedules that allow him to work in three separate time zones in a single day, or work in as many as four countries and on three continents in less than four days, to meet his clients' needs. The complex travel strategies Steven has developed for himself, his colleagues, and his clients have allowed him to develop a unique and expert insight into the demands of not only the needs of business travelers, but also what attracts frequent flyers to be loyal to specific airlines and airline alliances.
