Informationen zum Autor CHARLES HAECKER is the staff archaeologist for the National Park Service Intermountain Region-Heritage Partnerships Program, and is based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He develops partnerships with federal and state agencies, Native American tribes, communities and private citizens, toward protecting those places holding national significance in our nation's history. As an associate of the NPS-American Battlefield Protection Program, Charles works with other archaeologists in the investigation of historic battlefields, forts and military encampments. JEFFREY G. MAUCK is a senior lecturer in public history and U.S. history at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas.
