About the author

Bill Park, C.B.E., A.M., was born in Brisbane in 1920, served asan Australian soldier in World War II in the New Guinea campaign,achieved a Commerce degree in 1947 and an MPhil degree in 2009.He is a patron of the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust inAustralia, and lives in Brisbane.
