Pete Seeger is called before the House Un-American Activities Committee to prove he is not an enemy of his country. Although willing to testify about his patriotic background and membership in the Communist Party, he adamantly refuses to implicate others in his testimony. When the hearing concludes, there is a worldwide protest against its results.

About the author
