Paul Marie Théodore Vincent d'Indy (1851-1931), était un compositeur et enseignant. Il a d'abord étudié le droit et ensuite la composition musicale. Il fut l'élève de César Franck au Conservatioire de Paris. Il a fondé la Schola Cantorum avec Alexandre Guilmant et Charles Bordes en 1894.
