Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2007 im Fachbereich Geowissenschaften / Geographie - Regionalgeographie, Note: keine, Universität Stuttgart (Institut für Geographie), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die Seminararbeit erfolgte im Rahmen eines Regionalen Seminars und beschreibt die Entwicklung der Automobilindustrie in den neuen Bundesländern bzw. der DDR seit den 50er Jahren. Die Produktion unter Planwirtschaftlichen Verhältnissen, sowie der Übergang zur Marktwirtschaft und die damit einhergehenden Probleme werden behandelt, außerdem werden aktuelle Standorte vorgestellt.Die Automobilindustrie in den neuen Bundesländern hat eine lange Tradition. Hier siedelten sich in der Gründungsphase der deutschen Automobilindustrie nicht nur Firmen an, auch die Vorgängerorganisation des Verbands der Automobilindustrie (VDA) wurde hier 1901 in Eisenach gegründet. Erste Produktionsstätten wurden schon 1896 in Eisenach gegründet.

Michael Feuerstein, Ph.D., MPH is Professor of Public Health in the Departments of Medical and Clinical Psychology and Preventive Medicine and Biometrics, Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine, Bethesda, Maryland. He is also Director of the Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program at that institution. In addition, he is Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, Division of Behavioral Medicine, at Georgetown University School of Medicine, Washington, DC. Dr. Feuerstein is editor-in-chief of Journal of Occupational Rehabilitation and Journal of Cancer Survivorship Association, and the Society of Behavioral Medicine, and a Member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, the Association for Advancement of Behavioral Therapy, the International Association for the Study of Pain, and the New York Academy of Sciences.
