About the author

Bernhard Setzwein ist gebürtiger Münchner. Seit 1990 lebt er als freischaffender Autor in Waldmünchen an der bayerisch-böhmischen Grenze. Er ist Autor von Mundart-Gedichtbänden, Theaterstücken, Erzählungen, Bildbänden, Reiseführern und Romanen. Für sein Werk hat er bereits zahlreiche Auszeichnungen und Stipendien erhalten, so z. B. 1998 Bayerischer Staatsförderungspreis für Literatur und 2006 Kulturpreis Bayern in der Kategorie Kunst. 2004 wurde er mit der Bamberger Poetikprofessur bedacht.
