Economic and financial considerations are often perceived as being antithetical to environmental concerns. About the author

Pierre-André Chiappori is professor of economics at Columbia University. Jean-Michel Lasry is senior scientific adviser at CALYON and chairman of the steering committee of the International Research Network's Finance and Sustainable Development program. Damien Fessler is junior researcher and coordinator of the International Research Network's Finance and Sustainable Development program at Université Paris-Dauphine.
