Informationen zum Autor Geert Lernout is Professor of English and Comparative Literature at the University of Antwerp, Belgium, and Director of the James Joyce Centre. He has published The French Joyce (1990) and Iets Anders: De GoldBerg-Varieties van Bach (2001). Wim Van Mierlo is a Senior Lecturer in English at Loughborough University and an expert on literary archives, textual scholarship and scholarly editing, and the work of James Joyce and W. B. Yeats. He is currently President of the European Society for Textual Scholarship and a member of the Advisory Board of the James Joyce Quarterly .Joyce is widely considered one of the most influential writers of the twentieth century. This collection of essays prepared by an international team of scholars, critics and translators, records the ways in which James Joyce's work has been received, translated and published in different areas of Europe.
