Informationen zum Autor Guido Indij is a photographer, cultural manager, editor, bookseller and Image and Sound Designer (UBA). Since 1990 he has edited more than 400 books of art, photography, poetry, essay and narrative. Coordinates several collections for the editorials Asunto Impreso ediciones, la marca editora, InterZona and Factotum. It directs the bookstores PLUS Subject and Library of the image. He manages the Asunto Impreso art book distributor and offers editorial advisory services to third parties. He has been a promoter, Founder and Secretary of EDINAR (Alliance of Independent Publishers of Argentina for Bibliodiversity), Coordinator of the Spanish-speaking Network of the International Alliance of Independent Publishers and Assistant Secretary of the Argentine Book Chamber. He has devised The International Day of Bibliodiversity (eldiab.org), which since 2010 has grown and multiplied in dozens of countries. He has curated the samples "Bandi Binder" and "Hasta la Victoria, Stencil!" At Centro Cultural Recoleta; And has exhibited his artistic works in various public spaces: "Doná 1 gesto" in Parc de la Vilette, Palais de Glace and Center Pompidou; "Buenos Aires. Out of Series "at Art Milano, the 270 Flower Gallery in Basel and the Mulhouse Cultural Center; "200 years of Argentine art" at the Palais de Glace and the Pavilion of the Bicentennial. Guido Indij es fotógrafo, gestor cultural, editor, librero y Diseñador de Imagen y Sonido (UBA). Desde 1990 ha editado más de 400 libros de arte, fotografía, poesía, ensayo y narrativa. Coordina varias colecciones para las editoriales la marca editora, Asunto Impreso ediciones, interZona y Factotum. Dirige las librerías Asunto PLUS y Librería de la imagen. Gerencia la distribuidora de libros de arte Asunto Impreso y ofrece servicios de asesoría editorial a terceros. Ha sido promotor, Fundador y Secretario de la EDINAR (Alianza de editores independientes de la Argentina por la Bibliodiversidad), Coordinador de la Red Hispanohablante de la Alianza Internacional de Editores Independientes y Prosecretario de la Cámara Argentina del Libro. Ha ideado El Día Internacional de la Bibliodiversidad (eldiab.org) que desde 2010 crece y se multiplica en decenas de países. Ha curado las muestras "Bandi Binder" y "Hasta la Victoria, Stencil!" en el Centro Cultural Recoleta; y ha exhibido sus obras artísticas en diversos espacios públicos: "Doná 1 gesto" en Parc de la Vilette, Palais de Glace y Centre Pompidou; "Buenos Aires. In "Montevideo Popular Graphics," Argentine photographer Guido Indij--responsible for several collections exploring South American graffiti--turns his eye towards Uruguay's street culture: "I can't believe the things I see when out walking the streets of Montevideo: posters from our childhood, signage from our parents days, archaeological traces of the last "letristas" (sign-writers), bestiaries, Carlos Gardels, fish and more fish " After walking extensively through the city, Indij notes that through these graphics "we can reach an understanding of our identity." Much like the Surrealists, who found inspiration in the posters, signs and ads that papered the streets of Paris in the 1920s, Indij mines the language of the street for clues to our collective unconscious. Indij's previous books on street graphics incude "Hasta La Victoria, Stencil!" (2005) and "1000 Stencils" (2008), which was published concurrently with an exhibition at The Drawing Center in New York. ...
