About the author

Rainer Waterkamp ist Politologe und Reiseautor. Seit vielen Jahren bereist er das außereuropäische Ausland. Er war stellvertretender Chefredakteur des Wiener "Reise-Journal sowie Autor und Fotograf zahlreicher Reportagen für in- und ausländische Magazine und Reisezeitschriften. Reiseführer und Bildbände erschienen von ihm (teilweise auch in englischen, französischen, tschechischen und italienischen Ausgaben) über Äthiopien, Kenia, Australien, Peru und Bolivien, Südafrika und Mali.
