Sein Werk wurde mit dem National Book Award ausgezeichnet. 2007 erhielt Ray Bradbury im Rahmen der Pulitzer-Preis-Verleihung eine besondere Ehrung für sein Lebenswerk. Ray Bradbury starb am 5. Juni 2012 in Los Angeles.
