The conferencewasorganizedbytheDepartmentofNumericalAnalysisandStat- ticsattheUniversityofRoussewithsupportfromtheUniversityofSouthern Mississippi, Hattiesburg. The conference was co-sponsored by SIAM (Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics) and ILAS (International Linear - gebra Society).
