The Tenderness of Wolves

It is 1867, Canada: as winter tightens its grip on the isolated settlement of Dove River, a man is murdered and a 17-year old boy disappears. Tracks leaving the dead man's cabin head north towards the forest and the tundra beyond. In the wake of such violence, people are drawn to the township. But do they want to solve the crime or exploit it?

STEF PENNEY wurde 1970 in Edinburgh geboren. Sie studierte Philosophie und Theologie, bevor sie sich ganz auf das Filmemachen konzentrierte und ein komplettes Film- und Fernseh-Studium mit Auszeichnung bestand. Mittlerweile hat Stef Penney zwei Filme abgedreht, für die sie auch das Drehbuch schrieb. "Die Zärtlichkeit der Wölfe" ist ihr Debütroman, der mit dem renommierten Costa Book Award 2006 ausgezeichnet wurde.
