He earned his pre-medical degree at the University of Maryland, completed his medical training at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and completed his residency in anesthesiology and critical care medicine at Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Dorin served as an officer in the United States Naval Reserve, where he attained the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
