The birth of condensed matter physics in Italy is linked to a small number of very distinguished scientists. Mario Tosi, Professor of Physics of Matter at the Scuola Normale Superiore, is unquestionably among the leading figures, a true founder of the theoretical activity in the country and a true catalyst of novel research directions internationally. About the author
Salvatore Settis wurde 1941 in Rosario / Kalabrien geboren. Von 1994 bis 1999 leitete er das Getty Research Institute for the History of Art in Los Angeles. Danach lehrte er an der Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa klassische Archäologie. Von 1999 bis 2010 war er Direktor dieser Universität.
