Taber is Professor of Chemistry at the University of Delaware, Newark, Delaware. Professor Taber received his BS from Stanford University in 1970, and his PhD from Columbia University in 1974.?Following a postdoctoral appointment with Professor Barry Trost at the University of Wisconsin, he was assistant professor at Vanderbilt University from 1975-1982, when he moved to the University of Delaware. Professor Taber has more than 170 publications in the organic chemistry field, and has authored eight book chapters and three books.
