Ralf Schäffer, geboren 1935, wurde nach seiner Pensionierung "Unruheständler". Pro Jahr erwandern und beschreiben er und sein Freund Udo Bidell für die "Stuttgarter Nachrichten" und ihre Partnerzeitungen acht bis neun Wanderungen. Als "Albvereinler" kann er auf diese Weise, wie er betont, seine "Wanderlust so richtig austoben".
