About the author

Jian Dong received the B.S. degree in communication engineering at Hunan University in 2004, and the Ph.D. degree in information and communication engineering at the Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) in 2010. He was a Research Assistant at National Key Laboratory of Science and Technology on Multispectral Information Processing of HUST from 2006 to 2010. He was a Visiting Scholar at the Eledia Research Center of University of Trento in Italy from 2016 to 2017. He works as a Full Professor at School of Computer Science and Engineering of Central South University. He published 6 books and over 130 peer-reviewed academic papers on international journals and conferences. He owns 18 innovation patents. His research interests include antennas, metamaterials, wireless communications, machine learning, and its applications to electromagnetics and medical big data. He is a member of Young Talents Board of Zhijiang Lab, a member of the expert database of Changsha Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology and Shaoguan Municipal Enterprise Innovation Development, and a commissioner of the Guangdong Ministry of Enterprise Science and Technology Commissioner. He served as a Committee Member of EITCE 2021, as a Session Chair for IEEE ICMMT, IEEE NEMO, IEEE ISAPE, ACES, PIERS, ICECIT, and a guest editor for the Journal of Mathematics.
Bio: Long Zhang, Ph.D., is a tenured Associate Professor and Master's Supervisor. He received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2009 and 2012, respectively (under the supervision of Prof. Qingxia Li). In 2017, he obtained his Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering from the University of Kent, UK (under the supervision of IEEE Fellow Prof. Shichang Gao). In 2018, he conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Montreal, Canada, collaborating with Prof. Ke Wu, an academician of both the Canadian Academy of Sciences and the Royal Society of Canada.
Tong-Xing Zheng (Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree in information engineering and Ph.D. degree in information and communications engineering from Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xi’an, China, in 2010 and 2016, respectively. From 2017 to 2018, he was a Visiting Scholar with the School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications, University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. He is currently an Associate Professor with Xi’an Jiaotong University. His research interests include B5G/6G wireless networks, physical layer security, covert communications, reconfigurable intelligent surface, and integrated sensing and communications. He has published 3 book/chapters and 100+ papers in wireless communications. He was a recipient of the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award of Shaanxi Province in 2019, and the Best Paper Awards at The 2nd International Conference on Ubiquitous Communication (Ucom 2023) and The 12th International Conference on Information Systems and Computing Technology (ISCTech 2024). He was honored as an Exemplary Reviewer of IEEE Transactions on Communications in 2017, 2018, and 2021, respectively. He was a Leading Guest Editor of Frontiers in Communications and Networks for the Special Issue on Covert Communications for Next-Generation Wireless Networks in 2021 and a Guest Editor of Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing for the Special Issue on Physical Layer Security for Internet of Things in 2018. He served as an Associate Editor of IET Electronic Letters from 2020 to 2023. He served as a Session/Workshop Chair for the IEEE ICC 2022, IoTCIT 2024, ICCBD+AI 2024, and NCIC 2024. He has served as a TPC member for various IEEE sponsored conferences, including the GLOBECOM, ICC, WCNC, VTC, and PIMRC.
