About the author
Arun Kelshiker CFA, CAIA, is the Head of Sustainable and Impact Investing - distribution, former Head of Asset Allocation and Portfolio Strategy at Standard Chartered Bank (UK) and a senior portfolio manager and country Chief Investment Officer with Allianz Global Investors / Allianz Group. He has almost twenty years of multi-asset and ESG experience, having managed institutional assets and provided investment advisory services with leading international asset managers and banks. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business (US) and a Masters in International Economics and Management from SDA Bocconi University in Milan (Italy). He is a CFA Charterholder and a CAIA Charterholder and is part of CFA UK’s Pension Expert Panel.
Dr. Alessandro Santoni is a banking expert with over 25 years of experience, including 15 years at the managerial level. He specializes in financial crisis management, supervision, and onsite inspection. He has worked at the IMF in Washington D.C., where he participated in technical assistance for the Financial Crisis Division, primarily focusing on MENA and caucasian countries. Dr. Santoni also served at the ECB-SSM from the inception of the SSM foundation in 2014. He held roles as Head of Crisis Management Operation and On-site Supervision, as well as Head of the Onsite Inspection Section. His responsibilities encompassed credit risk, AQR, market risk, IRRBB, and IT/Cyber Risk investigation. He holds a PhD in Behavioral Finance from the University of Siena, an Executive MBA from Columbia University, Hong Kong University, and London Business School, and a Master in Economics from SDA Bocconi in Milan. Dr. Santoni recently published two books with Springer, "Corporate Governance in the Banking Sector" and "How to Value a Bank: From Licensing to Resolution."
