About the author

Dr. Giuseppe Cantafio
 is an Associate Professor of Business and Management at the American University of Bahrain (AUBH), specializing in Strategic Management, Innovation, Supply Chain, and Sustainability. He has extensive experience supervising DBA, MBA, and PhD research projects and actively contributes to AUBH’s Research Center. Dr. Cantafio has held academic positions in multiple countries and participated in international conferences across Europe, the US, Africa, and the Middle East. His research focuses on innovation, business strategy, sustainability, and education, with numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and Scopus-indexed conferences. He is a Senior Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) and engages in editorial work, curriculum development, and industry collaborations, emphasizing sustainable and innovation-driven strategies and technology integration in management education.

Dr. Layla Alali
, Research Director of AUBH’s Research Centre and Assistant Professor, also holds an honorary position at Alliance Manchester Business School. Her research addresses sustainable transportation and has been published in leading journals such as 
Transportation Research Part A
 and 
Part D
 (ABS3).

Prof. Shahid Maqsood
, Coordinator of Industrial and Mechanical Engineering Programs, has over 23 years of experience and a PhD in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering. His expertise includes AI-driven optimization, Operations Management, Sustainable Engineering, and Smart Manufacturing. He has advanced Industry 4.0 initiatives, established state-of-the-art labs, and led national curriculum development and industry projects.

Dr. Alaaeddine Ramadan
, Associate Professor of Computer and Communication Engineering, earned his PhD from the University of Limoges, France. His research focuses on microwave transistor modeling, power amplifier optimization, and advanced communication systems.

Dr. Mansoor Farooq
, Assistant Professor of Computer Science, specializes in Cybersecurity, Machine Learning, and IoT. With over 15 years of experience, he has published extensively in indexed journals, holds patents from India and the UK, and authored academic books.

Mr. Mohammad Al-Shoqran
, Lecturer in Mathematics and Statistics, has over 15 years of teaching experience. His research interests include mathematical statistics and applications, with numerous publications in recognized journals and conferences.

Prof. Hanan Naser
, Associate Provost at AUBH and Professor of Business and Economics, is a visionary academic leader with over 20 years of experience spanning higher education, industry, and public sector consultancy. She has held senior roles including Dean of the College of Business and Management, Programs Lead for Undergraduate Business Programs, and Chair of the Research Council. In her current role, she oversees academic operations, faculty development, research advancement, and international partnerships, driving excellence in teaching, research, and global engagement. Prof. Naser has been instrumental in AUBH’s strategic growth through program innovation, accreditation readiness, and collaboration with international institutions. A Fulbright alumna (SUSI 2022) and Principal Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy (PFHEA), she holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Sheffield, an MBA from the New York Institute of Technology, and a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Bahrain. Her leadership reflects a commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and aligning education with evolving industry and societal needs.
