First published in 1964, The Psychology of Society deals with the idea of building up a social psychology or the science of human nature. The author confines himself to a discussion of certain of its fundamental problems and offers a critical account of the theories as to the nature of the social mind. This edition includes a new introduction and new material brought into the appendices, but the central themes remain valid and therefore unaltered.
