About the author

Professor Bahaa Awwad is a former member of the University Council at Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie, where he also chaired several key committees, including the Scientific Committee. He is widely recognized for his pioneering research in corporate governance, financial performance, FinTech adoption, digital transformation, and the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in finance and sustainability.
Over the course of his career, Professor Awwad has authored and co-authored more than 80 peer-reviewed research papers and 50 book chapters published by Springer Nature, Emerald Publishing, IGI Global, and other leading international publishers. His scholarly work uniquely bridges finance, governance, and technology, with a strong emphasis on enhancing transparency, institutional performance, and sustainable development through digital innovation. He was honored as an Outstanding Reviewer Awardee by the Emerald Literati Awards (2022) and serves on the editorial boards of multiple globally indexed journals. Professor Awwad frequently contributes to the academic community as a session chair, keynote speaker, and organizing committee member at major international conferences across Bahrain, Jordan, Turkey, and Europe.
