The aim of this work is to design and study junctions based on porous -Fe2O3 and TiO2 semiconductor materials using electrochemical methods. Initially, porous TiO2 was developed using a polymer as a structuring agent, and its influence on TiO2 thin films was analyzed. This step was accompanied by structural, morphological and optical studies to determine the optimum conditions for obtaining porous layers. Secondly, the formation of -Fe2O3 layers was optimized by electrodeposition. Finally, the efficiency of the materials and junctions formed was assessed by studying the degradation of a model dye, methylene blue, as a function of the type of photocatalyst used.
