Why does God allow suffering?

If you've ever wrestled with this question, you're not alone. Many Christians struggle to reconcile their faith with the harsh realities of pain and hardship. This insightful book offers a helpful lens through which to view your struggles: the theology of the cross.

Author Michael Berg uses the apostle Peter's compelling story--from the impulsive disciple in the Gospels to the humble shepherd in his epistles--to show the contrast between a "theology of glory," which equates success with God's favor and suffering with his displeasure, and a "theology of the cross," which finds God's deepest work in apparent weakness and even suffering.

You'll discover:
Why your struggles don't mean God has abandoned you The crucial difference between human reason and divine revelation How God can transform even your darkest experiences for good And much more!
Follow Peter's dramatic transformation. Find solace and strength and know that God is at work in your life, even now, shaping you into a theologian of the cross. Discover a faith that not only endures suffering but finds profound meaning within it.
