The proposed system effectively addresses two major challenges in conventional chargers-conduction losses and the reverse recovery problem in power diodes-through the integration of diode rectifiers on both sides of the transformer and a series resonance circuit. By enabling Zero Current Switching (ZCS), the design minimizes switching stress and enhances overall reliability, while simultaneously improving energy efficiency. With its compact structure and simplified configuration, the charger is highly suitable for on-board EV applications, offering a practical solution for the next generation of sustainable transportation.
