About the author


Professor Aman Chowdhry has joined the Department of Oral Pathology, Microbiology and Forensic odontology at the Faculty of Dentistry of Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi in 2010. His areas of interest include Forensic Odontology, Digital Photography & Analysis, Orofacial Genetics, Etiopathogenesis & basis of disease mechanism, Oral Premalignant lesions and conditions, Scientific Writing & Research Methodology, 3D Reconstruction, Systematic Reviews. He has published over 85 papers and is a member of the Indian Association of Forensic Odontology and the Indian Association of Cranio-Facial Identification.


Dr. Priyanka Kapoor is Professor and Incharge, Dept of Orthodontics, Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. She is BDS from GDC, Patiala, and MDS (Orthodontics) from AIIMS, Delhi in the year 2006. She has been an avid academician and researcher ever since. Her primary areas of interest are evidence-based research, biological mediators, obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), and forensic age estimation. She has won prestigious awards including the international Moyer’s Symposium award, Michigan USA in 2014. Her research interest in sleep apnea won her research grant, 3M Unitek- IOS-RF Research Grant-2020, and also led her team to develop a mobile application “OSA- risk Assessment Tool” which again won an award in “Orthodontic Innovation conclave-2020.” She is also trained in 3D and 2D forensic reconstruction at Central Forensic Science Laboratory, Chandigarh in 2016 and also went on to do a fellowship in Forensic Odontology from SDM Dharwad in 2018. She has authored/co-authored over 30 publications in international and national high impact factor journals including many systematic and scoping reviews. Her research is well received in the scientific community with over 340 citations. She has reached out to the scientific community and students, both nationally and internationally, with many workshops and lectures in her areas of expertise and interest.
