About the author

Sacha Langton-Gilks lives, works and gardens in Dorset. Trained as a choral scholar at Trinity College, Cambridge, soon after they first admitted women, she then won a place at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London and on several courses at The Britten-Pears School, Aldeburgh. After her three children were born, she ran the Primary School Choir in her village for twenty years and then went on to direct the secondary school choir in their local town for a decade as well as teach singing one on one. Sacha teaches singing to anyone who wants to express themselves: children of reading age upwards including one with nodules, another with brain damage, the neurodiverse and adults including actors (only one famous one!) and a dementia patient. Her husband, Toby, founded and runs The Urban Beat Shop in Guys Marsh Prison.
