About the author
Dr Stéphane Ayache is an ENT surgeon, specialized in Ear Surgery and Neck Surgery. He is working in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery in Simone Veil Hospital Centre, Cannes – France and in La Citadelle Hospital Centre, Liege - Belgium. In 2008 he founded the International Working Group on Endoscopic Ear Surgery (IWGEES) with some other international ear surgeons. He was the IWGEES President for 7 years and is currently a member of the founding board of the IWGEES. This group has largely contributed to the diffusion of ear endoscopy around the world. He is a member of the Namur ENT Endoscopic Academy (NEEA, Belgium) and consultant for international companies for the development of devices in endoscopic ear surgery. He has created several international congresses about endoscopy in ENT, and international courses including ear microscopic and endoscopic ear surgery and hands-on temporal bone dissections. He is the director of the Cannes Otology Course and is regularly involved in international meetings, courses, university teaching as lecturer and chairman, and surgical demonstrations around the world. He authored more than 90 scientific national and international papers especially about endoscopic ear surgery.
