A debut play about a non-binary Tamil teenager preparing for their period party - a traditional ritual meant to mark womanhood. Premiered by Kali Theatre and Soho Theatre at Soho Theatre, London, in 2025.

About the author

Gayathiri Kamalakanthan is a Tamil poet, playwright, facilitator and producer based in London.

They have performed with the Roundhouse, DAYTIMERS and the Southbank Centre, and are a recipient of the Disabled Poets Prize, the Faber & Andlyn Publisher's Prize and the RSL Literature Matters Award.

Their plays include Period Parrrty (Kali Theatre & Soho Theatre, 2025).
