About the author










Dr. Colin Brewer is a British psychiatrist and addiction specialist who directed Westminster Hospital's alcoholism unit and founded the Stapleford Centre. Educated in research psychiatry, he has authored numerous scientific papers and books, including Treatment Options in Addiction: Medical Management of Alcohol and Opiate Abuse (1993) He has advocated for mindfulness-informed recovery and contributed to assisted-dying reform through advisory roles and clinical assessment in the UK.
