About the author

Kamran Mahroof is an Associate Professor and leads MSc Applied Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics at the School of Management, University of Bradford. Prior to academia, Kamran held several industry roles which shaped his research interests. He is actively researching in the areas of Supply Chain Management, Circular Economy, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Societal Impact of Emerging Technologies. He regularly publishes in high quality, high impact peer-reviewed journals and makes regular appearances on national television, radio and in other media and has written several articles for the Press, along with other internationally renowned publications, such as for the World Economic Forum. He is also a Fellow of the Higher Education (FHEA).Uthayasankar Sivarajah is a Professor of Technology Management and Circular Economy at Kingston University London. His passion for research and teaching is interdisciplinary in nature focusing on the use of emerging digital technology for the betterment of society, be it in a business or government context. He has published over 100 scientific articles in leading peer-reviewed journals and conferences. For the last two consecutive years, he has been named in the World's Top 2% Scientists list published by the Stanford University. His research tackling societal challenges such as consumer behaviour and reduction of waste has featured in reputable media publications such as The World Economic Forum, BBC Yorkshire and The Conversation. He is a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and a member of the British Academy of Management (BAM).Emilia Vann Yaroson is a lecturer in operations and supply chain management and the programme director for the MSc Business Analytics programme at the Sheffield School of Management, University of Sheffield. Her research focuses on how emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, blockchain technology, cloud computing, and digital twins, can be leveraged to build resilient supply chains and promote sustainability. Her work aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those related to sustainable development, poverty reduction, access to healthcare, and environmental protection.
