About the author

Dr. Ravi Kant Bhatia is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla Himachal Pradesh, India. He has cleared UGC-NET, ICAR-NET, and GATE, and completed a UGC-PDF-funded postdoctoral fellowship. With extensive experience in both industry and academia, Dr. Bhatia is actively engaged in teaching and research, focusing on environmental biotechnology. He has authored various research publications and completed multiple funded projects, including one as principal investigator. A recipient of the SERB-ITS fellowship for presenting research in Scotland, he also oversees the biotechnology incubation centre (BIC-HPU) to promote bio-entrepreneurship. 

Dr. Abhishek Walia is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology, College of Basic Sciences at Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Agricultural University, Palampur, Himachal Pradesh, India. He holds a PhD in microbiology, recognized with a gold medal by HIMOTKARSH Parishad Una (HP) for securing the top position in the college of forestry. With 9 years of teaching and research experience, he has previously headed the Department of Microbiology at DAV University, Jalandhar, Punjab, India.
Dr. Walia specializes in agricultural and environmental microbiology, focusing on sustainable technologies with industrial applications. He has an impressive publication record, including various research papers, a few review articles, some book chapters and conceptual articles. He has received prestigious accolades, including the DST-Inspire Fellowship by the Government of India, and serves as an editorial board member and review editor for reputed national and international journals.
