About the author
Ram Pravesh Bhagat served the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-ISM) Dhanbad as Professor (SAIL-NMDC Chair) from 2014 to 2016 after superannuation from the service of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, National Metallurgical Laboratory (CSIR-NML), Jamshedpur as Chief Scientist in October 2014. He has over 40 years of research and academic experience in organisations like R&D Centre for Iron & Steel (RDCIS)- Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), Ranchi and CSIR-- NML in iron ore beneficiation, agglomeration, and blast furnace ironmaking.
