About the author

Dr. Amin Akhnoukh earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt (1997), M.S. in Civil Engineering from Kansas State University, Kansas, USA (2005), and Doctorate in Construction Engineering from the University of Nebrsaka-Lincoln, Nebraska, USA (2008). Currently, Dr. Akhnoukh is an Associate Professor at the Construction Management Department, East Carolina University, Greenville, NC, USA. Dr. Akhnoukh is a registered professional engineer in the States of Arkansas and North Carolina. Dr. Akhnoukh research interests include the investigation of construction materials performance and precast/prestressed concrete bridges performance. Dr. Akhnoukh has published more than 70 journal articles, conference proceedings, book chapters, and proceeding books.
