About the author

Maria Isabel Aldinhas Ferreira (Ph.D.) is a Portuguese semiotician and linguist. She is a member of the Centre of Philosophy of the University of Lisbon and a researcher at the Institute for Intelligent Systems and Robotics IST/UL. Dedicated to the ethical deployment of intelligent technologies, her research covers the multiple phenomena that stand at the intersection between natural and artificial cognition, namely how learning processes develop in a changing world.
