This significantly expanded edition serves as a comprehensive, step-by-step guide to cardiovascular imaging using echocardiography and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), covering everything from basic principles to advanced techniques. It provides a unique platform for readers to familiarize themselves with and compare the strengths and clinical utility of each modality in structural heart disease, adult congenital heart disease and valvular heart disease.
Case-Based Textbook of Echocardiography and Cardiac MRI offers a comprehensive review of both modalities from the acquisition of basic skills through to advanced techniques, including practical information from recently published ASE/EACVI guidelines, explanatory loops and figures, and an extensive selection of self-assessment questions. Providing balance between the science and clinical pearls, it is of great interest for all trainee cardiologists and cardiac imagers, and is helpful to all clinicians in cardiology, internal medicine, cardiac surgery, interventional cardiology and pediatric cardiology.
