Lai-Chang Zhang
Professor Lai-Chang Zhang is Head of Centre for Advanced Materials and Manufacturing at Edith Cowan University. After awarded his PhD in Materials Science and Engineering at the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Prof. Zhang held several positions at The University of Western Australian, University of Wollongong, IFW Dresden and Technische Universität Darmstadt. His research interests include metal additive manufacturing, metallic biomaterials, light alloys & structures, and high-strength alloys and composites. He is a Highly Cited Researcher (Clarivate) and an Advanced Materials Laureate (IAAM, Sweden), with approximately 410 journal articles, an H-index of 93 and more than 32,000 citations. He serves as Editor or Editorial Board Members for more than 10 journals including International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing, Advanced Powder Materials, International Journal of Mining Science and Technology, Advanced Engineering Materials, Acta Metallurgica Sinica (English Letters), BME Horizon, etc.
