About the author

Dr. Yacob Khojasteh is a Professor of Operations Management at the Graduate School of Global Studies, Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan. He was a Visiting Professor at the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, Toronto Metropolitan University, in Toronto, Canada, during 2021–2022. He received his Ph.D. in Systems and Information Engineering from the University of Tsukuba, Japan. He is the author or editor of several books, including Supply Chain Risk Mitigation: Strategies, Methods, and Applications (2022, Springer), Supply Chain Risk Management (2018, Springer), Production Management (2017, CRC Press), and Production Control Systems (2016, Springer). He has several years of professional experience in industry and consulting. His research interests include production and operations management, supply chain management, logistics and warehousing, systems modeling and optimization, digital transformation, and business analytics. 
Dr. S.M. Mousavi Jahan Abadi is a Senior Research Manager at FUJIFILM Software Co., Ltd. in Tokyo, Japan, where he has led research and development initiatives for over two decades. His work has focused on advancing technologies in digital transformation, cloud computing, data science, and artificial intelligence, contributing significantly to the innovation of numerous products and solutions. In addition to his corporate leadership, Dr. Mousavi Jahan Abadi possesses deep expertise in Japanese business practices and organizational culture. He holds a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering and, since 2021, he served as an Adjunct Professor at Sophia University in Tokyo, where he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses, including Business Intelligence and Management Information Systems. His combined experience in industry and academia reflects a strong commitment to bridging cutting-edge research with real-world business applications.
