Children's attitudes at home and at school are often at odds with the values of eco-citizenship, despite the awareness and training they have received in this area. This paradox led us to conduct this research, the major underlying question of which is to analyze the influence of family and school factors on children's culture of eco-citizen ethics. Analysis of the quantitative and qualitative data from our surveys revealed that the socio-economic situation and educational level of parents, as well as institutional and pedagogical factors, each had either negative or positive effects on the culture of eco-citizen ethics among primary school pupils in Burkina Faso. This study paves the way for the search for solutions that will help establish the eco-citizen ethic in children's behavioral habits. To reduce the negative effects, the emphasis must be placed on raising awareness within the family and on teacher training.
