Industrial activities produce a large number of wastes as by products and dumped in the vicinity of the industry and act as store house of wastes. It makes a stressed habitat to surrounding plants. Plants by nature, has adaptive to new habitat and follow a line of strategy to avoid or resist it. Variations in plants showed the level of sensitivity and tolerance to polluted habitat. In search of the said criteria wasteland flora can be studied which gives idea about pollution abatement and make future bio-tool for indication and assessing extent of damage caused by pollution, though it needs further research.
