In this study, nine women of Afghan origin were interviewed and their socialization and learning and education processes were examined. After scientific analysis, four types were identified. The focus is on prominent topics such as homeland, loss, the role of women, family, culture, values, identity, self-image, education, freedom, peace, expectations, disappointment, hope, coping with everyday life, integration, and equality. This research is framed by an overview of the historical and sociocultural background in Afghanistan, the empirical results and their pedagogical applications for the development of learning and educational processes, and suggestions for educational institutions and publishers.
