Description

This book focuses on different aspects of multicomponent fibers and polymeric systems, including multicomponent fibers, multicomponent micro/nanoparticles, and multicomponent composite materials. It also includes specialty multicomponent polymeric systems for multicomponent blends and coatings, films and membranes, shape memory polymers, and elastomeric systems. Each chapter includes an introduction to the topic, fabrication/synthesis approaches, structure, properties, and potential applications. The current research trends and future perspectives are also included in each chapter.
Features:

  • Delves into a wide range of production techniques and applications for multicomponent fibers and polymeric systems
  • Provides an in-depth review of the materials design of multiphase polymer systems and their morphological evolution at micro- and nanoscale
  • Discusses sustainability in multicomponent systems
  • Explores the multicomponent structure in composites, particles, blends, and interpenetrating polymer networks
  • Covers the latest techniques and strategies for modulating the morphology at the micro- and nanoscale
This book is aimed at graduate students and researchers in polymers and material sciences.
