Can a loser become a winner? And find himself and true love in the bargain?
With a new Ph.D. and a promising new business Lee Denaro has suddenly awakened to the fact that he is old. Something he never saw coming. The job market does not want him. Plan A is now a long shot. He has no Plan B. He draws closer to God to plead for a change in fate. A mountain of student loan debt, no wife or girlfriend, stuck earning minimum wage, he is struggling in every manner of life. Where did he go wrong? Did he make a wrong turn in life? Is he a loser? It is for the reader to decide as one looks at an unusual journey, from boyhood to late in life. With twists and turns, betrayals, steamy romances, successes and failures, highs and lows, Sh-Boom is packed with emotion and the trials of life. A hero who believes in himself and his God. Still...Can Abigail - Abby, Lee's childhood crush- save him? She's rich and married, but bored with life and interested in Lee. Still attractive, she has a serious problem if she is to win him.
Sh-Boom is a love story, yes. Yet it is more about the life of a risk-taker who is ever-looking to find where he belongs and true love.

Somewhere along the way the itch to write could no longer be ignored and the flame was ignited. A pilot light if you wish. It would be decades before the stories of his youth kept coming to the forefront of his mind and ghosts of heroes met needed a stage. Ever a surfer at heart, loving the chill temperature of the Pacific Ocean whether on a board or off, or with a line in the water for bar perch, Michael Jian is a SoCal man, whose first choice for residency is San Clemente.
