About the author

Prof. Ciro Esposito  graduated from the Federico II University  in Naples. During his specialty training in pediatric surgery he spent two years in Marseille at the Timone Children Hospital; he later obtained a  Master in Paediatric Surgery at the Necker Children Hospital of Paris, Descartes University of Paris . He was visiting professor in various parts of the world: Vail (USA), London, Leeds (UK), Paris   Strasbourg, Marseille (France). Currently he is Chief of the Pediatric Surgery Unit at the University of Naples Federico II, and Director of the Pediatric Surgery Training Program at the same University; he is also Director of Regional Reference Center for Pediatric Minimally Invasive Surgery and Pediatric Robotics Director of European Reference Center for Pediatric Minimally Invasive Surgery and Pediatric Robotics (ESPES), C.E.O. of this same society and IRCAD expert in Pediatric Surgery and Urology Courses. He has published more than 450 papers in the most cited journals and is the editor of 13 Books in Pediatric Surgery and Urology.
 
Thomas Blanc is Professor of Pediatric Surgery in the Department of Paediatric Urology, Paediatric Surgery & Transplantation at Necker-Enfants malades University Children Hospital, AP-HP, Université Paris Cité. He is one of the pioneers of robotic surgery in Europe with specific expertise in Pediatric Urology and Peditric Oncology. He is proctor for Intuitive Robotic Company. He is the Director of Pediatric Robotic Courses of the IRCAD Center in Strasbourg, and Coordinator of the French academic Masterclass of robotic Surgery for surgeons and scrub nurses (Université Paris Cité). He is the director of the multisciplinary robotic program of the AP-HP (22 Xi da Vinci systems). He is the Principal Investigator of the PECROP study (NCT03274050)
Arnaud Bonnard graduated at the Paris Cité University and obtained his PhD from the Paris VI University. He is the chief of the Pediatric Surgery Department in Robert Debre Children’s university hospital in Paris and Full professor.  He is also the Course director of IRCAD pediatric laparoscopic and robotic program, and coordinator of the Pediatric Surgery program of Paris-Ile de France. He is an expert in mini invasive pediatric surgery, pediatric thoracic and digestive surgery, neonatal surgery and renal transplantation. He published more than 200 papers and book chapters and a book on pediatric thoracoscopic lung resection.
